Stamp Something Delightfully Delicious Challenge

First I will post the picture for the challenge, describe it then I will ramble!

This is my entry for the challenge over at http://stampchallenges.blogspot.com/. The challenge was to create something that was delightfully delicious.

I got this freebie Digi from http://digital-doodling.blogspot.com/ She is so cute and I thought with the cupcake this would be a perfect image for the challenge. The patterned paper is one that came with a pad of papers from Michael`s. 180 sheet`s for $20 CAD. I`m pretty sure I got a good deal. Colored her with regular markers, pencil crayons and gel pens and the other paper and embellishments and stuff is all from the Dollarama, The thumb is mine lol.

This is the first card I have made in a little bit but after I move the ball is going to get rolling a little under three weeks and I will be able to create, socialize and visit more on all of your wonderful and inspiring blogs! I do miss having the time, and I really do get excited to see that someone has posted something new and I have a feeling that I am not the only one like this. Ahh the life of a blogger! Ok, yeah now I'm rambling. It`s been kinda quiet on my blog so come by enjoy what I have to show you and prepare for more excitement in the next couple of weeks!

Niece's and Airplanes

Hi, sorry i haven't been posting, just alot going on right now and getting up the energy is another thing, I am going to try better to maintain the friendships that i have made with all of you but just bear with me till I get moved and then things will be much better.

So back in December I won a Challenge at
http://tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.com/ I was a featured stamper for January 5, 2010 and this was my creation;

The image was a digi that I purchased with my winnings from Inktegrity, same with the happy mail circle thing (Where is my vocabulary?) The brads are from Michael's. The image is colored with good ole' Crayola markers, cause I can't afford to buy the fancy ones that I drool over when i see them on all of your blogs, but there fine for now.

My Husband's niece came over for the night so I decided to keep her busy, we would make cards, she loves doing many things at once, so I was happy that she was actually really focused on making this card. I showed her the sketch which was the same that i had to make for the Featured Stamper spot, and I helped when she asked for it but other then that she did it all on her own! Below is the two of us holding the cards that we made, didn't she do awesome! And shes only 9! (Please excuse the way I look in these pictures, I look like a slob, but i can polish up if need be!)

This is my workspace in all of its glory until we move. I have my bed and a little TV tray. This is the only room we are using because we live in a trailer and have the living room basically empty to make it look bigger, so everything is done from the bed. It is terrible, but a couple of more weeks.

The last image i will leave you with today is our Niece watching the big KLM Asia come into Toronto Pearson, we took her to see the planes as she has never been before and the funniest thing was, not longer after we got there they stopped landing on the runway that we watch them on and they were landing on a runway they never use! Trust me we have been down there to plane watch enough times to find this very odd, so we didn't get to see a whole lot of planes that day but i love this picture. There is only one plane that comes bigger then this and that's the A380 but it wasn't landing that day so the 777 will have to do. I am so glad i caught this picture because it's moving pretty fast I took a double one, so it took two pictures consecutively and you should see how much it moved in that one second, if my timing would have been off another second I wouldn't have got this shot! Well if you are still reading this then you really must still love me, hopefully I will post again tomorrow!

Mojo monday Week 121

Whew this month is going by fast. I have a doctor's appointment in an hour so I am hoping he is going to work miracles and give me the right prescription this time. I really appreciate the support you have been giving me, and the stories you have shared on my comments to let me know and to reassure me that I am not alone with this. I wish that Anxiety and Depression disorders didn't exist but they do and all I can do is learn from my struggles and experiences and come out of this a stronger person. When I am better I plan to make a difference in some way, I want to raise the awareness of mental health and hopefully create or find a way to create more support that works better then the resources that are provided now. We have the Canadian Mental Health Association but I find they are a joke, I have nothing but bad experiences with them, others may have found it helpful but as for me i think it has caused more problems each time making me feel more helpless because of all places you would think that would be the one place that would help right? Not a chance. if I want good help I have to play for it. Ontario has free health care but having a good doctor for mental health costs money. I guess I cant complain because most places don't have the advantage of free health care but I can not afford the extra money it would cost to get the proper help I need.

Anyways i made this card a couple of days ago for the Mojo Monday challenge, I just haven't had the energy to post it Its for Mojo Monday Week 121. I really love their challenges and i tend to do them more frequently then others. I find sometimes i am limited to challenges because I am limited in supplies. I found this free 3d decoupage bear and flower from http://thelilacgardendecoupagesite.co.uk/teddydecoupage.html
beautiful stuff over on that site!

Whew here we go...2 Challenges, two cards (Cute card Thursday 94 and Charisma Cardz Week 1)

I have not been blogging for the past few days, my depression has been really kicking me in the butt, I started out with just anxiety and then a couple of months ago my doctor diagnosed me with clinical depression. The anxiety is still the majority of the problem but sometimes the depression rears its ugly head.

I finally gathered the strength and energy to make a couple of cards for a couple of challenges the first is over at Charisma Cards Week 1 and it was a color challenge to use the colors pink brown cream and toffee. Hope this is ok.

The second challenge was over at Cute Card Thursday Challenge #94 and the challenge theme was all new so I made a baby card
Both of the images came from a french coloring book site which I love! I really need to get out of the house, it's been pretty much two months since i have been able to actually go any where, i have the odd day where i am somewhat OK but not good enough to go shopping and I need stuff! Also I am anxious for the post man to come everyday because I am waiting on two packages (Blog candy I won) one from the UK and the other from the USA. I guess they are taking a long time because of Christmas, hopefully tomorrow? I need some new stash soon!
I was also a featured stamper this week over at Tuesday Morning Sketches but I will fill you in more with that tomorrow hopefully. Good night everyone (depending on where you live!)

Cute Card Thursday Challenge #92

The challenge over at Cute Card Thursday was a them card and the theme was NEW YEARS.

I have never made a card for New Years before nor have I ever received one , so this was a challenge for me. I just thought of glitter and colourful streamers and that's where i came up with the idea for this card.

For some reason, despite everything that is current in my life, I rather enjoy new years. We don't really do anything for New Years Eve but the feeling that the new year brings, can even make someone who suffers from anxiety and depression have hope that the new year will be a better one. One thing for sure is that sometime in 2010 I need a trip! I find when I go away it really helps me but I guess vacations help everyone. I really don't care where I go, I just need to get away! Now this probably won't happen because we don't have money to do such a thing but you never know what could happen. It doesn't hurt to dream does it?

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #38 Multifolds

This is My entry for Challenge 38 over at Stamptacular Sunday. I have shown four pictures here to show different views of the card. The balloons are actually gourmet jelly Beans wrapped in Saran wrap. I thought that would be really cool to try and I like this card and I think the recipient will too just as long as the jelly beans are eaten when still fresh! I colored the clown image with gel pens, and for the strings to the balloons I used embroidery floss

I want to thank everyone for their thoughts prayers and hugs you guys are truly amazing, Sorry this post lacks enthusiasm but I guess I am not my normal self right now (but then again was I ever?)
A special thanks to Lisa over at Adornment's by Lisa
I won her blog candy and it couldn't have come at a better time. She was very generous in her blog candy giveaway and I am very lucky, and can't wait for it to come in the mail. Hop on over to her blog and check out her amazing creations!
Sorry if I missed anything else I should have mentioned but my mind is other places....

The Sweetest Thing- Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #49

(Challenge entry at bottom of post)

I guess when something happens that is devastating, every one has there own way to deal with things. For me, I know that because I have anxiety, I must carry on as normal as possible when something happens in order to get through some rough times. If not I wouldn't be able to cope.
This morning at 4am EST my Grandma passed away. She has held on for over a year since she had her stroke which was a week after I got married. She was a real fighter and an amazing woman. She is technically only my step grandma however I have been raised knowing her as my real Grandma because my dad came into our lives when I was about two. She never treated me any different then her other grandchildren I suppose because she has watched me grow up. She had a hard life and a very kind heart, she had been through much heartache but still had a heart of gold. She always made you feel so special. Even through this past year when she wasn't able to talk or respond, when we would go visit her there was a sparkle in her eye, and you knew she knew you were there. She only met my husband a few times but she was crazy about him! When she was in the hospital after having her stroke she wasn't responsive at all. She just lay there sleeping but when my husband came in and this is hours after the rest of the family was in talking to her she woke right up and tried so hard to smile and it was amazing. Now my husband has done some special things but that was amazing! This is the most I have opened up all day this blog is really helping me and if this is what it takes to get it out then so be it.

Now I need to tell you something about my husband and why that moment was so special with my Grandma.
I met my Husband about six months before I got sick, I was going through a pretty rough time and one night I went to bed and I prayed for a sign that everything was going to be OK. Now mind you I am not very good with prayers but I do pray. That night I had a dream and there was a man in this dream that I had never met before. I woke up the next morning and went to school, I was in college at the time and I looked everywhere figuring I had seen him there. No he wasn't there. A couple of weeks later the day after valentines I met my husband who I had only communicated with through the computer. We agreed to meet and when I first saw him I realized he had been the man in my dream! and there was no possible way of seeing him before because he had just moved here from three hours away. OK another thing, is when you take pictures of him, and this has happened on more then one occasion and with different cameras, he is somewhat transparent. Call me crazy but I have my beliefs that he is an angel. He can make any child stop crying and warm up to him, even in line at Walmart, and I haven't met a animal that doesn't like him. How he got my grandmother to respond fits into my theory. and yes you probably think I'm crazy and you will never visit my blog again but there are too many unexplained occurrences. If you are still reading this thanks for listening. And no I am not crazy!

OK so I had to keep my mind off of today so I entered a challenge over at The Sweetest Thing. I did half the card in the dark because my power went out so I didn't have much light. but the power is back on now.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #24

This is my entry for Tuesday Morning Sketches #24. The requirements were:

1 tag
1 hidden message
lots of glitter

You can't tell that well in these pictures but the whole front of the card is painted with glitter. Remember you can click on these pictures to make them bigger for a closer look.

  • Picture one: The card itself, exactly how it would be received.
  • Picture two: The card with the tag pulled out.
  • Picture three: The card and the tag together.
  • Picture four: The card with the tag which opens to reveal the secret message. You cant read it too well but under the snowflakes there is a sentiment that reads "Good Tidings."

Sorry about the quality of the pictures but i have asked Santa for a camera and I sure hope I get it, so I can take better pictures!
Everything that i used was from my stash, just random stuff except for the snowflake tea folding paper which was free with my Papercraft essentials magazine.
Thanks for looking!

Paper Cupcakes Magical monday Challenge- Glitz it up

This is my entry for the Glitz it up challenge over at Paper Cupcakes. This image was very generously lent to us and we had to make a card using this image. I had so much fun with this card. I am low on embellishments and have been to sick to go out and stock up, so I got creative with pipe cleaners and the Delia flower, which as you can tell I absolutely love making. You cant tell from this picture but the Christmas bulbs I used these really net pens, that have a 3d effect when they dry. They are called Souffle (TM) 3-d Opaque Ink and they are made by Sakura. Please don't laugh I have never given credit when referring to something with a trademark, so I hope my efforts were good enough!

Thanks to those who have wished for me to feel better, I still haven't really gotten anywhere and it's frustrating because Christmas is next week, and our place is going up for sale on Monday and for the most part I am stuck in bed. I have been meeting other people online that have been going through what I am and it's reassuring that I am not the only one going through this although I wish no one had to feel like this. Anyways enough of the bad stuff. Hope everyone is being good because Santa comes next week!

Card Patterns Challenge Sketch #45

This is my entry for the challenge over at Card Patterns The Challenge was a little challenging but fun, took me a couple of hours to make because I still have not been feeling very good and also I couldn't decide what I wanted to do for this card
My birthday is in a week and my mother in law and nanny which is my husbands grandma came over to celebrate my birthday early. Because I am not well enough to leave the house they came over to mine and made lunch and cheese cake. I will have more pictures of my other birthday celebrations but they haven't happened yet.

Tomorrow my best friend is coming to visit she lives in Kingston which is about 3 1/2 hours away depending on how you drive. I am grateful every time i get to see her. Last year during the holidays she was in Afghanistan doing a six month tour because she is in the military, it was a hard time knowing she was over there but she called me all the time to let me know that she was all right, but thankfully she is home safe now, and doesn't have to go back anytime in the near future, she is helping out working at the Olympics coming in January she is off to British Columbia but because she is doing this it means she doesn't have to go back to Afghanistan for a while.

I gotta go lie down again this sucks, I can only sit at the computer for 10 minutes at a time other then that I have to lie down, and yes I made most of the card, laying down, so it might not be perfect but it kept me busy. Have a good night everyone!

Mojo Monday 116- Contest

This is my entry for the Mojo Monday 116 contest. I loved the layout this week, it was awesome. I love this card because its a Christmas card but in non-traditional colors, and as a few of you know, pink is my favourite colour! I used pieces from the Vintage cards magazine which I love, the backing paper and also the 3D decoupaged kitty. The rest of the stuff is just stuff from my stash. I'm sorry I haven't been posting. I'm going through a medication change and have been really dizzy and feeling really crappy. But please keep coming by I love your comments and I really appreciate my followers! Thanks for understanding guys!

ICS#45-Sketch Challenge

I hope Santa brings me a new camera for Christmas because this picture does the card no justice, and I took about 30 pictures. This card is for the challenge over at Inspirational Card Sketches where they provide a layout for you to follow, go check them out, it's a great challenge site and the challenge was so much fun

http://icsketches.blogspot.com/

Anyways its my Mom's 50th birthday on Wednesday so I made this card for her. Shes fighting pneumonia right now which sucks and shes such a petite woman (only 95lbs) So it's taking longer for her to get better. if I win this challenge I am going to give the prize to her because she deserves it.

Anyways heres another picture I have taken so you know my photography skills are not that bad.

This is an Airbus 380 (A380) It right now is the largest commercial airplane. This was taken at Toronto Pearson International, It comes in 3 times a week Monday Wednesday and Friday around 3-4pm. Drool, it is so beautiful! Crowds of people gather at this time just to watch this beauty land, I'm not kidding we have met other people that like us have drove an hour or more just to watch this plane land. Check your local airport to see if an A380 lands in your area, its a rare occurrence unless you live around an airport that has alot of A380 traffic but it's so worth the drive to see this beauty. Thats all for now!

The Fresh Batch Challenge-SASSC43

This is my entry for the challenge over at The Fresh Batch.

The link to this challenge is

http://sasthefreshbatch.blogspot.com/2009/12/stamps-and-smiles-sketch-challenge.html

There is a layout there to follow, I turned the layout on it's side but I followed it the best I could to my understanding of what the layout was. My kitty, whose name is Belle ( husband wouldn't let me name her Tinkerbell) wanted to post with my card tonight so I let her ( I cant be a mean mommy to my fur baby!)

Here is Belle Showing the card that will hopefully win the challenge
Aww no more pictures i want to go back to sleep (tee, hee, hee)
And a closeup of the card itself being supported by a fur background lol.

I got the image of the gingerbread house from
http://www.daisiecompany.com The rest of the stuff is just from my stash, I don't have alot of expensive supplies so I just work with what I got!
Hope you enjoy the card!

2 Red Bananas-Banana Split Sunday-Reflection of Warmth

This is my entry for the Banana Split Sunday challenge. I had so much fun entering last week I wanted to enter again! This weeks challenge is to create a project that reflects warmth, and the first thing that popped into my head was a fireplace!. I printed the image of the fire from a coloring book website and the bricks is scrap booking paper i think from Michael's. Everything else i just had lying around and the sentiment i printed off of Microsoft word. It is an excerpt from 'Twas the Night Before Christmas" story and I thought it fit in perfectly with this card. Hope you enjoy!

Everybody Art Challenge #68

This card is for the challenge over at
http://everybody-art-challenge.blogspot.com/2009/12/challenge-68.html
The challenge was to use stitching, and so I thought I would cross stitch this for this card.I hope this meets the criteria. I wanted to keep things fairly simple to not take a way from the cross stitching itself, so besides putting a little border around the piece I pretty much left it blank to compliment the cross stitching. It took about 4 hours to cross stitch mind you I took some small breaks, but yeah for the most part that's what I did all day.

I also participated in a blog hop over at
http://cutedaisymay.blogspot.com/2009/11/blog-hop.html
It was so much fun!

I didn't get to go to the doctors today because I couldn't leave the house, so I had to reschedule for Monday.

Thanks for the comments I have been getting, It really makes my day. Believe me when you are stuck in the house and all the fun Christmas stuff is going on it sucks. Sorry if I bring you down when I talk about this stuff, it just feels better getting it out and I'm hoping someone, somewhere that is going through what I am going through finds my blog and we can talk because sometimes I feel alone. I have my husband and he is wonderful but he doesn't understand because he doesn't know how it feels. Aww anyways I'm rambling again so i think this is nite nite ;)

Mojo Monday Challenge #114

This is for my entry over at Mojo Monday
http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2009/11/mojo-monday-week-114.html
Excuse my photography skills, I'm not usually a bad photographer but this is only the second card i have ever taken a picture of so I need practice. Everything on this card is from the dollar store and you cant tell but the word cat and the cat itself are 3D. Thanks for looking!

My first Challenge, over at "Something Completely Different"

I have entered my first challenge over at
The challenge was to create a card with the theme "RED AND GREEN SNOWMEN". I hope I do everything right to enter this challenge, I still am clueless! This is also my first post with something I have made for everyone to look at, there will be much more of this to come. Here is my card for this weeks challenge. The 3D decoupage is from a kit from Vintage Cards magazine, and the rest of the stuff is just from my stash. Enjoy, your comments are appreciated!
